Oh hey, I got another DD and didn't notice until today!! Thanks everyone! All your comments really encourage me to keep it up. This is the first painting I've finished in a year, since getting my degree. I've had some difficulties getting in the way of my work, and it feels great to have a new painting to show. I actually still want to post a better photo of it. Considering how much time I actually worked on this one, I think I'm progressing faster than before. I'm surprised so many people mistook it for a photo! That level of realism isn't really my intention, but I guess I'm becoming more detailed and subtle. This painting is still more colorful than the reference photo I took.

Well, I feel like I need to update this. My hands are feeling better, finally, but not great! The computer is still not my friend. Thankfully I don't rely on it to make art, although  a shame since I just got a new beautiful big screen iMac and tablet...

Thanks to everyone who has been watching, favoriting, and commenting. I really appreciate all of it. I haven't been very active lately because I've been having problems with my hands. Unfortunately I can't draw or paint at this point... I'm checking the computer minimally, since that's one of the hardest things to do.
